UQ Neurological Society is proud to present a night focused on unpacking mental health and providing practical strategies to improve and protect it. Set on World Mental Health Day we aim to provide a night dedicated to YOUR mental wellbeing.
A focus will also be placed not just on the wellknown mental health conditions like Depression and Anxiety. We will be discussing things that everybody experiences. Things like feeling a little π§οΈblueπ§οΈ, or overly πstressedπ. Whether you’ve been feeling conscious of what you π΄eatπ΄or recently had to experience a loss.
It will be a night for EVERYONE, as we will also be teaching strategies for those supporting others. We have invited a range of speakers to give you the best advice, and learn the science behind some of these mental health states π§ π€―.
We will be covering the following topics:
1. Depression + low mood
2. Anxiety + stress
2. Eating disorders and building good relationships with food
3. Grief and loss
4. Supporting others with Mental Health Disorders.
