NVSS Art Connect

NVSS Artists Connect: Expression of Self, Community, Others & Nature provides an opportunity for 700 Norfolk Village SS students to become artists and experiment with various art mediums to build on the safety of their school space, to connect with themselves and culture, their community, their peers and adults and their environment. Students will use a combination of planned art activities and interactions with knowledgeable adults creating ways for the students to express themselves through their artist creations and
learn more about culture. The art activities will see students using paper and pencils to sketch out their thoughts and ideas, before transferring their work onto a small canvas on an easel using water colour or acrylic paints. Their work will be displayed within the school,
with families invited to view the student work and in the local Ormeau Community Centre in October for the community to view.
