Painting is not just about creating beautiful images; it’s also a powerful way to enhance mental well-being. Engaging in art activities has been shown to reduce stress, promote relaxation, and offer a safe outlet for expressing emotions. Even if you’ve never picked up a paintbrush, you’ll feel comfortable in no time as I guide you through my tried-and-tested techniques using acrylic paints, various mediums, and additives. You’ll get hands-on experience experimenting with different materials, helping you discover which effects resonate most with you before applying them to create your own abstract or semi-abstract canvas.
This workshop explores both traditional and unconventional methods of painting, encouraging you to think creatively and build confidence. Through demonstrations and plenty of examples, I’ll support you in this open-ended learning experience. You can follow my suggestions step-by-step or use this guidance as a springboard for your own ideas (feel free to bring a reference image if you already have one in mind).
