Sowing the Seeds of Wellbeing

Join us for a FREE family-fun-filled community event at the newly formed Bowen Community Garden to learn about good mental health, while connecting with nature.

Attendees will be able to:

• Participate in family friendly craft and gardening activities.
• Wander between community organisation stallholders, obtaining information on what services those organisations provide, including mental health services.
• Attend a psychologist-presented community information session which will raise community awareness of mental health, and provide information about the importance of ensuring good mental health and strategies individuals can engage in to foster good mental health
• Learn how to garden, working with nature, for a positive impact on participants’ mental health and wellness – plant seedlings in a dedicated QMHW garden bed and, over time, nurture those seedlings, with attendees eventually taking the fresh-food-produce home for their use.
• Enjoy a free community sausage-sizzle, along with great food from local food vans.
