Safety and Wellbeing Showcase

Darling Downs Health, Safety and Wellbeing team, are hosting a range of Safe Work Month events in October.

There will be multiple events scheduled at Baillie Henderson Hospital, Toowoomba Hospital and throughout our Rural Facilities (Wondai, Mt Lofty, Warwick, Dalby, Chinchilla, Goondiwindi, Inglewood, Nanago, Oakey etc).

The aim of our events is to of course spread the word around safety/mental health/wellbeing but also encourage our staff to interact and engage with our teams throughout Workforce, such as, Human Resources, Recruitment, Occupational Violence and Security, Wellbeing, Patient Handling Coordination unit etc.

As well as having our internal stalls, we will also endeavour to have external stalls attend such as Q Super, Remserv, Smart Leasing, EAP, BreastScreen, Bowel Screen, BUPA, OVP State body QOVSU, Fittness Passport, WorkCover etc.

We will be interacting with our staff with games and quizzes whilst giving them the opportunity to win prize packs for their engagement and efforts. There will also be information flyers available to take away with them.

We are trusting that our staff will leave the event(s) with more knowledge around our safety systems and feel more comfortable navigating their everyday working lives, knowing what support is out there.
